This Girl...

Photobucket

at the end of a dusty dirt road lives a farmer's daughter...

a rancher's wife...

and a mom to three wild prairie children...

that mom really is just a plain prairie girl...

a girl who dreams BIG...

a girl who believes calico is where it's at...

a girl who can't be without a good book...preferably an old british murder mystery...

a girl who loves the smell of fresh cut hay...

a girl who's soul is pulled by the whispers on the wind...

a girl who works the same land that has been in her family for 6 generations...

a girl who is really, extremely shy...

a girl who likes to cuddle with her kids...that is when they sit still long enough...

a girl who has a fear of frogs...ugh...oh, and worms...shudder...

a girl who is breaking out in hives thinking of having to put the flip flops away for the winter...

a girl who has found more kindred spirits through blogging than she could have ever dreamed...

a girl who's heart is troubled because her little family is reliving something we thought was taken care of three years ago...

a girl who reads this inspiring blog about a girl who has learned to give her worries over to God and to trust in him...

with Lissa's words of strength echoing in her mind this girl carries on...

My heart is moved, I will pray for what the Lord knows you are stirring about...

The Lord does know. Be patient.

That Lissa is a pretty smart doodle, so is her sister. I have found a lot of inspiration from each of them and that has given me strength and hope.

i can relate to this post sooo much lately...with our sixth baby due in March, I am extremely thankful, but it always throws me for a loop - and finding the peace within myself usually comes from prayers (many) and lots of silent meditation on His word......

you just have a way with words, my dear ...

I'm always entranced when I visit here.
I'm heading out to the shed with coffee for my morning worship ...

Hi Kristin,
I will say a prayer that it is once again taken care of and your little family finds peace. Hang tight...God works in mysterious ways ~

Isn't Lissa's blog wonderful - I am inspired everyday by her.

Enjoy today ~

Wow, what a great post. I love the smell of fresh cut hay and cows. Growing up we lived near a dairy and I loved it. Weird huh?
I am so happy that Lisa is still blogging. She makes me want to be a better person. You were spot on with this post...Love it!
Hugs,
Rachel

I'll pray for you and I know God looks after every single detail in our lives. When we are flat on our backs, we are in the perfect position to look up...praying God will rock you in his arms tonight and for peace for your heart. You are a precious soul and thanks for being transparent.

Kristin~ I just got home from camping and am trying to catch up on reading a few of my special blogs. I was reading along this post and had NO IDEA it would be about my blog until I saw my name and I immediately started crying! Then my sister called and I read it to her and she started crying too. God is so good and I'm so glad he is using my story to help others. You're in my prayers Kristin. Thank you so much for this! It means the world to me. When we're in heaven you can vacation at my beach house and I will visit you on your farm. :)

Lovely post Kristin and I love the photo at the top, I have a thing for old broken down homes. I always wonder what dreams they once held and what became of those dreams...

Kristin, I am so sorry that you are going through this trial right now, just know that even though we may not have the "same" trial... we all share in having them. Hugs to you!! xoxo Heather

Ooops... I almost forgot to say I loved seeing into your heart.... a beautiful post!! xoxo

Ok so you are going to think I am a crazy woman, but after I reread my comment I wanted to tell you that I hope I didn't come across as making light of your problem by saying we all have them..., what I meant by that was that we all share in trials that get us down and we are all here to lift you up! I will be sure to say a prayer for you and your sweet family.

There now I feel better... please don't think I am a nut for the third comment. lol!!

xoxo Heather
