Be....

i hope you all had the most, wonderful christmas...

we enjoyed every single moment..it was the most peaceful holiday i remember for a long time...

we spent the time playing games, ice skating at beautiful bryce canyon, working over cows, and just being together...it was pure {magic}...

now here we are, 2012 and i feel SO excited!  i just know the year is going to hold some extra special *fabulousness* for my little family :0)

we have made some plans for some big changes here and i can't wait to share...it is something we have been waiting 14 years for...it is definitely time!

i have also been making some plans for my little space here, i have been chatting with an insanely talented girl to help give the blog a little lift and new direction.  in early november a new muse visited me and her story is waiting to be told.  it really is miraculous how everything comes together...

when reflecting on 2011 one word came to my mind...{muddled}...

i had some Dreams come true during the year, some i never realized i had but i just felt as if the little trials drowned out a lot of the joy.  it seemed that i really couldn't focus on anything and just {BE} in the moment...

so my one little word for twenty.12 is {BE}...

i also have a little confession to make before we go any further...i loose interest in things quite rapidly {the half-a$$ed projects throughout my house can testify} so making a commitment on one little word for an entire year is really not feasible...i don't think i can even remember what word i chose for last year, i definitely know it wasn't muddled! ;0)

so i'm changing up the way my word is going to work for me and my new found *love* of art journaling is going to help out, i hope you join me for my B.12 project...

every two weeks i'm going to come up with a new {BE} word...this word will help me stay focused and intentional in my living...

all my thoughts and direction will be written here...

my B.12 journal...

i recently came across an article on the life of an artist, how you as an artist can have all the mediums, the ideas, the space and desire to create but if you don't actually produce something you are a {poser}...yes, a poser and i am the biggest {poser} of them all!  i can't tell you how THAT one little word has affected me, i know without a doubt that i DON'T want to BE a POSER!!  i want to create, i want live an artful life, a creative life, i want to live the life i know i'm capable of living....to just {BE}...

{BE.GIN} is the first little word to start guiding me on my creative journey...i found this quote on pinterest tonight that reaffirmed the importance of beginning...

it really is that simple...{BE.GIN}...

i'm {BE.GINNING} by taking an in-depth business course with kelly rae and beth nicolls...i'm ready to take faded prairie to the next level and make the most out of it...

i'm also {BE.GINNING} with another e-course...the wonderfully, all inspiring, jeanne oliver's dream come true....{CREATIVELY MADE} rediscovering the beauty of your gifts...i don't know a better way to begin a journey than this...

i hope you will begin your journey with me, please share how you plan to begin.  are you going to be accountable within the written word, are you going to begin by picking up your camera one extra time each day...what ever it may {BE}...just begin...

I love your word...and your creative way of helping yourself remain committed to it throughout the next 12 months!

Beginning is often the hardest part of any project, experience or endeavour...so I applaud you as you take BE to new heights!

I'm "risk" -- it's time I stepped out of my own shadow and began to risk...I think I've forgotten how to do that...complacency is a dark place to "be"! xo

There is dignity in risk. I, too, get bored and find myself drifting. A personal goal of mine is to live as authentically as possible and 'be' in the moment more in 2012. I so look forward to walking with you through this journey. Hugs, Lisa

Yes I am ready to BeGin. We took a big leap in 2011 by moving closer to our family. I want to find the artist is me too. I am also taking Jeannie Olivers eclass, so I will begin that adventure with you!
Looking forward to all our beginnings. Di@Cottage-wishes

Love it! And I smiled when I saw that both you and Traci T have this word. It's so small, but is yet so big and important.
And your journal cover is awesome.
I look forward to seeing where this journey will take you and Faded Prairie.
I don't know yet what my word will be. Still pondering on that. :)

Great word choice and inspiring to read. I'm trying to come up with a "word" for my new year as well...just can't seem to narrow it down to ONE! I have so much going on and SO many lists - I should really just stop trying to make it all happen at once haha! I wish you great success for 2012 and have fun with your e-courses! I was wanting to sign up for Jeanne's but have been so busy! Maybe I can sign up for the next one if she does one! Happy New Year!!

I would love to read the article you are referring to...about being a "poser"! That identifies me to a t! I can't figure out how to get past the hurdle...
Can't wait to read more about your classes. I don't have the funds to take those unfortunately, so I'll live vicariously through you!
Best wishes for a fabulous 2012!

Be - ing. Such a powerful word. Such a great way to start the New Year. Thanks for the thoughts!

I have always liked the word 'BE'. I have lived by it for about 20 yrs. I'm a 'Be`er' not a 'Doer'. There is peace in just being. I have even painted the word on canvas this year on my simple subway signs for etsy. I love your B 12 journal...so so awesome. I have heard horror stories about the new blogger interface. I sure hope they never make us use it. I dont even want to try. Your blog is beautiful as is...I've always always loved the soft faded design of it. ox

I, too, am a poser. Thank you for putting a name to it for me. I have so many projects I want to do, so many lists of ideas for things to make and yet I have no items in my etsy shop and a house full of supplies. I will follow your word and be-gin. Thank you for the inspiration and good luck with your endeavors!
