{BE}lieve...

here i am well into week 2 of my B.12 project...

my one little word for 2012 is to {BE} ...

i am turning this little word into different B words as i go through the year and my creative journey..

i {be}gan with {be}gin... :0)

{be}ginning my creative journey and really {be}ginning to live the life i dream, to {be}gin on living intentionally...

i have been absent from here due to exploring the why's of my business and who i really am...

hello soul hello business, creatively made, and beyond layers are all giving me the push towards beginning...

i never realized when signing up for the e-courses how entwined they would be...a prompt in one course would reveal an A-HA moment in another. questions asked lead to questions answered...they really are making a difference in my everyday...

so from {be}ginning to {be}lieving i go..

to really {be}lieving in my dreams no matter how big or how small, {be}lieving in myself as an artist, {be}lieving that my life of an artist and mother can run parallel, and {be} beautiful...

i won't lie..it has been a struggled for me to stay intentional, to not listen to those small whispered doubts..sometimes it seems so much easier to just give up...when i feel the weight sink deep within my stomach i try to just step away for a moment...

i have to admit the one constant that soothes me and replenishes me is the evening feeding and checking in on our little cows and their new babies...strange isn't it?? this one little chore though grounds me..gives me strength and assurance that my roots run deep, that i can let go and {be}lieve in my dreams...

how are you all doing with your resolutions or aspirations for twenty.12?? any struggles or ways cleared for you??

i hope you will all join me by...

{be}lieving...

I too started my year out with Jeanne's class. Loving it through all the tears, laughs and creating. It is sometimes so hard to push down the doubts. I believe that you can do it (and I can too)! Thanks for sharing.

The joy of new life on a farm/ranch/prairie.....love it! :)

And so far this year, I feel like I have slowed down, and tried to 'just be'. It's great.

Oh, and I'm totally cleaning out my home. I have a long way to go yet, but its great to free myself of excess/unneeded clutter.

Have a fabulous week! And enjoy the snow! :)

Kristin,

Love your word of the year and how you are implementing it into your daily life. Be gin, Be lieve ... looking forward to reading about your future progress ... looks like you will be busy as a bee! Totally understand the contentment you find tending to the cows and calves. I too am grounded by life's simplest pleasures.

{Be}lieving in yourself...despite the doubts...is the best thing we can do for ourselves. Like you said, we just have to {Be}gin:) Thanks for the inspiring words, Kristin!

i would never think that you get that feeling...
it makes me feel not so alone that you do.
and it gives me courage that you let it go....and do it anyways.

Hi Kristin, this is one of those posts that hits straight and true. Dreams mean that we're pushing ourselves to see something come about that wouldn't come about without our total commitment and belief in ourselves as well as overcoming whatever obstacles present themselves on the way. It's daunting, so doubts are normal! I laud you on your frame of mind (intention and positive reinforcement). Maybe one more aspect of dreaming and calming those doubts would be to lay out a series of the mini-steps that will make progress in tangible ways toward the end dream/ideal. This is the hardest part for me!

You have been an inspiration to me as an artist. Your photos are so beautiful and true. (I am taking the beyond layers class. It is an interesting and thought provoking class!)

Awesome post. I struggle with those same thoughts.. It was great to read them out loud and not just rolling around in my head. Love your B.12 so easy to remember and to stay focused on.
