A Pickle and Pinto Bean...

hello dear readers...

i hope you are all enjoying the last day of june...

sigh...

where did it go? i always morn a little with the passing of june...it has become one of my most cherished months...

this june was packed with all sorts of activities...

one was swimming lessons for the kids...

so glad they are learning this skill...both richard and i cannot swim to save our lives...

yep, sink right to the bottom... ;0)

they all did *amazing* so we decided to celebrate with a little pie after their last swimming lesson...

i don't have problem with a little pie at 10:00 in the morning do you? i can't think of a better way to start the day especially if it is some world famous pie..

yep, pinto bean and pickle pie...

{pinto bean} my favorite!!

{pickle} my close second favorite

nope i didn't have a problem whatsoever with pie first thing in the morning...

it just might become a morning ritual....

after all watching the kids swim is HARD work...

enjoy your long weekend my friends and a happy 4th of july!! i hope it is filled with LOTS of pie!!

Happy long weekend and 4th to you!

However....those pies do not look appetizing at all to me! Maybe it's because I don't like beans or pickles. I'll stick with apple. Or maybe even pudding or something of the sort.

Well, who am I kidding. I'll be making a cheesecake. :)

I have never heard of pinto and pickle pie! But here in Texas, we have fried butter and fried beer at our state fair... I think I will try and find the P @ P pie!
Your kids are so cute! Have a great 4th!

No problem with pie for breakfast ~ in fact had cake here just this morning ;) Must admit have never had pickle and pinto bean pie, never heard of it before either but I'd give it a try!
Cool beans to the kids for learning how to swim! Have a fun 4th of July weekend ~ Rebecca

Kristin,

I've never had pickle or pinto bean pie but living on the shore my entire life I learned how to swim before I could walk. Nothing wrong with eating pie first thing in the morning. My motto is Life's uncertain, eat dessert first!

mmmmm.....love pickles (we make our own amazing recipe) and I love beans!! I'd be all over that pie! Are you taking Soul Restoration 2? I'm going to Brave Girls camp middle of July, thought you might be on the roster but you weren't! I haven't been blogging very well lately but glad I got to stop by yours this weekend!!
