Monticello No. 1...

so it looks as if monticello is going to take a couple posts...

there was just SO much...

it is strange...

when i would look at photos of booths at monticello i always knew EXACTLY what i would grab without a doubt...

in truth i wandered around like a lost lamb...

it is very surreal...

i didn't know where to begin...

what i would choose...

what would come home to the prairie with me...

the girls there are absolutely fabulous...so,so kind, sweet and beautiful...

*thank you* dear girls for taking good care of me and for the dr. pepper that helped sustain me on my 3 hour shopping spree... :0)

so are you ready for part one of monticello?!?

the following is just a small sample of what they have to offer...

this was just some amazing goods that caught my eye the first trip around the wonderful store...

Hi Kristin~ We went there too after the barn house event! I bought that old wash basin in the 4th picture down on the right and I already have my herbs growing in it. That was by far my favorite booth! I was drooling over everything in there. If I were rich...

Nice to meet you lady! and your cowboy!

EVERYTHING is so FLIP FLAPPIN FABULOUS! How could you not just die on Vintagitis! I HAVE a little windmill like that. It's one of my very treasured possessions! I had to PRY it from my antique dealer friends hand. I am totally NOT kidding!

Hey, fellow Prairie Girl...I wish I had stayed at BH long enough to have someone introduce us. I live about 10 minutes from the boys and sometimes get in and out before the crowd heats up...leaving with a lot less money in my pocket and WHOLE-lotta happy in my minivan :)

Monticello provided a lot of happy for me too at their sale. I'm so glad you got to go! The girls there really are artists, aren't they? I bought a windmill for my dining room that I will never part with...I believe it was next to those other giant metal contraptions you captured.
Congrats on a wonderful journey and some terrific images to prove it ;)
Happy fall on the prairie--
Lara

Hi Kristin... I wish I could have met you last weekend! I'm glad you had fun and maybe we will meet at Barn House or Monticello this spring. Sounds like a successful trip (with a few minor regrets...) Tell your husband he's amazing for coming with you!!! Rest up...

Oh. my. Monticello. Such beautiful things! You would have had to pry that vintage pink wire basket from my fingers. Ha! Thank goodness you didn't picture it. If ya tell me that it was a faded, ballet slipper pink, I'm going to faint.

Those chunky charms are adorable...it all is.

Thank you so much for sharing. Such inspiration ALWAYS. You mid west gals have all the good vintages and antiques. ;)

Hugs,
Jami

Hi Kristin ~

What a fabulous post on one of my very favorite shops anywhere . . . Monticello! I lived in Portland for 23 years and believe me, it's one of the first places I run to when I visit!! I can see how you spent three hours there--thanks for the tour!!

Debi

P.S. Can we clone your husband?!
