B.O.D....

anyone sick of the whole cow thing yet?

i thought that i've found all there is...

i promised myself that i wouldn't bring anything else with a cow on it home...

BUT....

look what i've found...

Photobucket

on burlap...

i know...

*bliss*...

that's not all either...

Photobucket

be still my prairie heart...

Photobucket

also on burlap...

*bliss*

right now they are displayed in the shop...not priced...

i know shameful...

the husband likes to remind me that the point of having a shop is to sell stuff...

hhhmmm...

evidently he has been bitten by the cow bug yet...

i think he gets enough of them during the day...

then to have to come home to see them on the walls...

it could be worse right?!?!...

hello....

*sigh*...

i'm afraid i've even started begging people to be on the lookout for cows...

my mom and stepdad recently went back to scotland to visit...

guess what i asked them to look for...

yep, bovines....

they did not disappoint...

Photobucket

this print from 1881 came to live on the prairie...

i know...

i do believe i'm obsessed...

b.o.d.

bovine obsessed disorder...

see there is a name for it...

now if only there was a cure...

hhhmmm....

what a fun and cute post! It had me laughing. Love your cows! I tried a cow theme once.. they looked ridiculous next to my shells and to the beach pictures. Love them though! I will just enjoy yours.

okay... i lied... i only tried one cow. it was red (i know- there is also no red in my house) I just liked it cuz it was on linen and said Le beoff. so i really loved it. My mom told me it wouldn't go but I was hoping she was wrong. It made me so happy for a very short while until it found it's destiny in the garage sale pile.

I love your cow pictures.

My grandfather, father and brother showed cattle for years and I have several photos of them with their cattle. I even have some of my dad as a little fellow with his prize jersey. Maybe I need to do a little enlarging.

Glad you shared yours in all there beauty.

Cows never looked so gorgeous! Yes, you definitely sound like you've got a bad case of B.O.D and about the only way you can cure that one is to walk in a paddock full of cow pats. That might help take the shine off!

OH I love that top picture! I don't have cows in my home but I would make an exception for the ones you have! It would be hard for me to give them up too...Good luck! Theresa

Hurry up and price them! I love the first one!! The cure is to keep finding them and incorporate as many as you can into your home! You are really finding some great ones - they all have such an old classic look to them...

I might need just one cow to mix in with all my birds ~ :)

I love cows...especially on burlap! We live right next to a farm and all the holstein cows come a runnin' when it's dinner time. It's my favorite thing to watch.

Be still my heart, those are gorgeous!

I was hit by B.O.D. many years ago and can't seem to shake it either (and we don't live on a farm.) Funny enough, in our suburban home we are raising two boys (with visits to family farms), one of whom is 13 and is totally cow obsessed. He is a 4-H'er in dairy and beef and saved all his birthday money for two years to buy his first Holstein calf (that he keeps at his uncle's, 2 hours away.)

Thanks for sharing your obsession!

I love cows too...something about their sweet disposition and their beautiful soulful eyes.

When my oldest was about 13 she collected b&w cows, stuffed, painted you name it...if she saw it we bought it. We even went to Vermont so she could she a jersey cow farm up close and personal...and we ate at the original Ben & Jerry's before they were a household name and PMS requirement :)
So...no Kristin, never tired of cows. Great! now every time I see one I'll think of you. *sigh*

LOVE them! Clearly, from your comments, you're preaching to the choir, sister. I just bought a cow print at an antique store (not exactly what I had in mind, but "COWS! THERE'S COWS ON THIS OLD PICTURE!", so it's home now. {I thought of you when I was looking at it!}
