Oh my! I remember when my daughter was 2 she had (and has) really beautiful curly hair and her big brother (4 1/2 at the time) cut her hair with little kid scissors...
OH No!
My littlest has cut her hair five times - I'm beginning to think she will never have long hair.
Oh well, it grow - - eventually.
Oh My! She really cut it! Isn't it precious but horrifying at the same time!!! I have boys who also did that but at least I could just shave their heads! :)
Just keep telling her how pretty she looks ~

Oh Kristin!! My reaction to your second pic has just made my little Miss 3 ask 'What's the matter Mama?'. I really don't know what to say, except that gorgeous little face and that sweet little head tilt have got me wrapped around your little princess's little finger. Thank goodness your little blossom's hair will grow in no time. What a day you have had!!~ Tina x
oooo, were you sad? such pretty blonde hair, well I can't wait to see her new princess haircut!
Oh Oh Oh my! She is a cutie... yep you can't be mad at that face :)
my girls haven't cut their hair but they have cut their stuffed animals fur... fur was every where!
xo,
LuLu
Ut oh! It's not that uncommon...I did it myself as a kid! She's just a doll no matter what kind of haircut she has :) :)
Hugs ~
:) T
Oh my! She's stylin'! ;)
This blog post was sooo great!
What mother hasn't had that fateful day when her daughter comes to her sheepishly with either scissors (or a hunk of hair) held behind their back with "that" look on their face.
You will ALWAYS remember this one, girl!
She's precious -- a true princess. Now she finally has the hair to match! :)

Oh how happy we are that hair will grow back, right? :)
My daughters both did this at one time and yes, I was not very happy. I found little blonde chunks of hair on every step leading upstairs to the bathroom. It kind of broke my heart a little until I put it in perspective.
She is a beautiful child.
Oh my goodness! I'm suprised mine haven't done that yet, they get into everything else! In fact a pair of scissors turned up missing just this morning.
My daughters friend cut off her pony tail and put it in the toilet so I wouldn't see it. I was horrifyed. She is still beautiful though. What a cute piture of her. I wasn't expecting to see that. I gasped.
and there you have it......too adorable!
Beth
Oh! yes been there, done that and my little one is now 26 and still can't seem to leave her hair alone. She's a cutie!
Oh my!! She's adorable!!
It's those kinds of things that make the best memories! You'll have stories to tell her what she was like when she was a child.
I cannot help but laugh...she is beautiful anyway she is...but oh my goodness...what a stinker:)
Oh goodness...she is darling, and with that little head tilt...puh-lease, how can you be mad at her!! I guess grandma will have to fancey a short do for her! oh by the way, your photos even of fallen hair are goreous! drool!
oh that precious free spirit!
AND
that adorable face....good grief
tell me you didn't just squeeze her and laugh through the tears!
we've all been there baby!
:)
Bahahahahaa! Aspiring Hairdresser? Love it!
You know whats so funny? If any of us have children over 5, by now we have at one time or another dealt with the same thing. It's like a right of passage for the child/parent relationship.
I have 2 daughters 22 and 19 and a son who is 13....This is only the beginning of what they will make you experience.
Hopefully you always come out laughing... cuz it is funny.
Oh my goodness! :) So I guess this is another one of those things I can look forward to when I have children? haha.
oh dear. they all do it, don't they?
luckily, she is a princess.
ouch!!! So sorry!!
Oh gosh,
This brings back memories of my childhood when I took my mom's razor and shaved part of my hair off! She is a cutie! You have to show us pictures of how it turns out.
Sincerely,
Melinda
oh good gravy. bless her little heart!:) looooooove my number 4 tote by the way!
Oh boy... seems we've all been through that one! Lauren four times... good grief! A friend of mine had her little girl use her professional scissors and cut so close to her head that she bled! Her mom had to shave her bald and buy her hats; everyone thought she was a cancer patient. I asked the little girl (age 4) how she liked her hair (after it had grown an inch)... she replied (to her mother's horror but copying what her dad said)... "It looks like sh**!" Now that's funny!
How adorable!
I think I've sported that same haircut a few times myself. :-)
Beautiful blog, beautiful Etsy shop, too!
Hugs,
Anne
now she need a new haircut!
Poor little princess! Have a great week!
AAGGHH! That was me as a child...and my niece has done it multiple times! You are a great mama for sharing this!
Oh, she is such a cutie..bad haircut and all! My son once cut his bangs almost up to his roots and they took forever to grow out.
Oh no! Oh, but how cute she is!
LOL ~ that must be a 'girl' thing. I have a few friends whose daughters did the same thing. I only have one boy ~ he never tried to cut his hair...just two shirts! (Go figure! Ha!)
Well either way, your little girl is so adorable ~ no one will notice a little crooked hair!
Oh no! BUT how adorable she is! AND at least hair grows back quickly! Maybe she will be a hair stylist when she grows up, and is just trying to practice! :)
I hope you have a good night!
Oooh no!! I hope this doesn't happen to me:) She looks so cute with her new do though!
This comment is a little late, as I just found your blog, but I seem to remember you doing that to my hair, when I was probably around her age (maybe a little older)!!
My daughter did it when she was 3 1/2.. cut all her hair in the FRONT off. She said she didn't want bangs anymore... I about fainted... This post brought back memories... yes, I'm still here, working my way back through your posts... Love your blog.. love. love.
