The Chair...

a couple posts back i showed you a chair...

one that made this prairie girl's heart go pitter patter...

it is still a work in progress...

come to find out she has been covered many, many, many....many....many....times....sigh...

and whoever did the job....well probably used 10,000 boxes of staples...

so it has been a slow process...

i have an idea what i want the chair to look like...

first spotted the style last year when i purchased this amazing book...

Photobucket

stripped down....stark and real...

i feel in love...

i then ran across these photos...oh my...pure bliss...

now if only i can talk mr. prairie into the look...

i'm feeling another eyeball roll coming on...

maybe i better wait until after valentine's day to show him the photos....

book can be found here

not sure where i found the photos...please let me know if you come across them with the source..

I would take the eye rolls, sighs and any comments as long as I had this chair! It will look great in your home ~

I can hardly wait to see what you do with your chair.... I have been thinking about that chair since you posted about it, and have been on the hunt for one myself.
P.S. I love your blog and visit everyday. I love your inspiration.
Thank you!

Kristin,

I saw a lot of chairs and upholstered furniture that looked like this during the antique fair in Round Top, Texas. One booth was full of European antiques... beautiful pieces! And they had a lot of this look. Gorgeous, but, oh so pricey. Tell Mr. Prairie what high dollar items these are... maybe that will help. Though I would expect to still get the eye roll.
