Barnhouse...

since i'm running out of days this week, i decided to get with it and post some barnhouse pictures...

barnhouse is so much more than just your typical barn/vintage sale...

it is a place where magic is created and shared...

a place that is listening...

listening to those who cherished before, listening to the work worn items that want to feel beauty...

i am still trying to take hold of my experience there...

it flits and dances with a brightness through my days, yet it wants to remain out of grasp...

for this experience doesn't want to be captured just within my heart but to be dancing among the prairie breezes...

searching for a moment it can envelope you, my dear girls...

and give you a moment of pure joy...

to give you the opportunity to listen...

beautiful lissa...

there is such a strength and calmness about this girl...

i was so humbled to have met her and to visit with her just a bit...

{even if i did ramble on like a country, star struck, bumpkin...} ;0)

ever so talented and sweet natalie of sparrow...

this girl's cow charms really have feed an addiction!! :0)

{oh, natalie...sorry about the whole threaten you if you don't pose with me in a photo kind of thing...really i was joking...never would have followed through with it...really...natalie??!...} ;0)

dear, dear sue...

not only does this girl know how to make galvanized glam, but her sewing skills are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G...

she is one of the sweetest, kindest ladies i have ever met...

{love you dear sue...in a good, not scary stalkery just met you kind of way...really....sue?!?...are we still on for some more lockers.....sue?!?} ;0)

of course i have to give a BIG,BIG *thank you* not only to the boys, a queen, and all who helped put this unbelievable show together...

but also to my amazing cowboy husband who braved the wilds of portland and washington, drove the whole 2000 miles just to make this prairie girl's dream come true...

*i love you*

You're strumming my heart strings here in Texas. The number one thing I want to do in this life is travel to the PNW to see and touch all the magic you just beautifully described.
They're ability to take ordinary and turn it into extrodinary is breathtaking to behold. The BOYS have done an amazing job of selecting the finest dealers who don't appear to compete, but instead enhance each other's talents. Your photographs are a wonderful example of what I'm trying to say.
I envy you traveling to see them all...(hope your husband was well rewarded...wink, wink).
There are so few photos of Sue anywhere in blogworld...thank you for yours!

you did such a fantastic job capturing your trip! I adore looking at your photos and seeing things I wish I had purchased! I think it's so cute that you're so feminine with your ruffly anthropologie boots and your love of vintage while you walk around with your tall, handsome, manly cowboy who doesn't really get it! How sweet and romantic that you guys shared this trip! love it!

oh.my. the creativity that goes into those displays takes my breath away.

um, i am thinking of redoing my living room and was brain storming ideas and trying to think of whose tastes were similar to what i want and the only person i could think of was you. i think you should come up north and spend a little time in my living room bouncing ideas with me. {i chuckle} how's that for a little fantasy band camp dreaming on my part? ;D be very flattered because i know some very talented ladies and you were the one who came to mind.:D

Your pictures are just beautiful! I dream of going to barn house one day, I have family that lives in WA. and they invite us all of the time, the day we take them up on it I am going to plan it around a BH sale for sure. I think I could sit in the middle of all of that and just take it all in and be inspired. Thanks for sharing and bringing the inspiration to us! Theresa xoxo

It looks like you had a fabulous time. I'm a new follower of yours. I just moved to AK from Washington. I've attended many Barn House sales (since I lived 15 min from them) and it brought back such a feeling of nostalgia to see the pics you posted. I love the NW. What a great husband you have to make that trek with you!
